I'm a Marvel girl myself, always been a fan of stuff that Stan Lee has created, but Injustice is MILES above the MK vs DC that came out a few years ago. It has the feel of the latest MK reboot (makes sense since it was made by Netherrealm Studios) with the spiffy special moves reminiscent of the X-Ray moves from MK (called Super Moves) without the bone breakage. Which is funny - I like the bone breaking of MK. I like over-the-top obviously-fake violence of the MK games.
We're hacking through the story mode, haven't finished yet, but all I can say is it's excellent so far save one thing. Mark Hamill really should have played Joker. He's the only one besides Heath Ledger that ever gave me nightmares.
