Have you played the game? How would you rate it so far?
Oh oh! Me! Pick me!
Ahem, I love this game so far, such brillinat gameplay with great visuals and nice little puzzles to work out. Can be gruesome in some parts, but I don't mind that! I like how she's starting afresh just like you and things are freaking her out as she goes through these horrific experiences, nice to know that as you get deeper into the game, not only do you get more experienced, but Lara does as well. Makes you feel like your going through it together. I like the little extras like hunting for food and scavenging to upgrade tools and weapons. And although I haven't played much yet, I'm intriuged by the story and want to know more.

I will admit that my husband and I were a bit apprehensive about playing Lara Croft (as we are not fans of giant boobs and short shorts), but since we heard several trusted positive reviews, we decided to give it a try.
Lara Croft Sexuality: 10/10
They didn't really sex her up for this one. Thankfully her cup size has shrunk, and she looks pretty but realistic in this game. True, she is wearing a tank top but at least it explains why she is wearing it, since she was relaxing at the time of the shipwreck.
Storyline: 7/10
The story was well thought out and well written. It was a tiny bit predictable, and we had the ending figured out long before Lara got it in the game. The major problem was character development. With the exception of Lara, who does evolve during the game, all the rest of the characters were rather one-note. The mentor stayed wise mentor. The angry woman was angry until it didn't make sense to be angry. Then she was just somewhat grumpy. The stupid doctor stayed stupid. However, Lara's evolution as an individual was fantastic. She went from "Please don't shoot! We can talk this out!" to "Bring it on you bastards! I'll show you what one girl can do!" with everything in between.
Gameplay: 8/10
They stray away from the double-pistol wielding traditional Lara, and went with a variety of weapons, however the bow was mostly used. You do get to see the double-pistol at one point but it's only once, and a glimpse of the confident woman/explorer to come. There are plenty of puzzles, plenty of terrain choices (multiple paths to get through certain areas), and you get a vulnerable-yet-strong Lara which is appealing to play. There is 'eagle vision' a la Assassin's Creed, but it is remarkably helpful if stuck.
Acting: 9/10
The actress for Lara is fantastic. She did a lot of the mo-cap too for cut scenes and various actions. She also brought true emotion behind Lara which served to further pull the gamer in.
Total: 8.5/10
Overall it is a fantastic game, even with the predictable storyline, and slightly one-note characters. I highly recommend it for anyone who is a fan of Assassin's Creed free-run style games, or a fan of Lara herself. It is kinda short, which is sad, but with a movie series reboot and further games planned, I doubt we'll be disappointed in one of gaming's Leading Ladies.
