It’s that time again! This month, I get to post individual projects because the challenge for January extends into February. I decided that I would show off the diversity of the sort of projects we have in the forums. All of the projects featured here involve stitching, but very different kinds of stitching, as you will see.
This beautiful project was done by Lileya. It was a present for her husband. This is, of course, cross stitch, which is what started this whole blog in the first place. Here is another finished project using cross stitch:
This is the famous pattern entitled “Triforce of Badassery,” executed by rbaron. The amazing thing about this piece is that it is on 25 count evenweave, using one strand. WOW. Also, she made it for her boyfriend, and as she puts it “he made me his fiance.” Aww, that’s sweet. 🙂
Our next project involves turning cross stitch into something besides a framed picture.
Funkymonkey made this adorable NES controller necklace. Â I want one!
Here is another necklace, but made in a completely different way. BeadedImagination stitched this Triforce necklace using 300 beads. (Yes, this is the third Triforce in one post. We love us some Zelda!)
This adorable Black Mage was made by Laialda using amigurumi. Â She made three Mage dolls, but I thought that this one was the cutest. 🙂
This last project was made by CraftySasha using filet crochet. Â This bad guy has certainly been in his share of video games!
This is only a sample of the amazing projects you can find in the Sprite Stitch forum. If you haven’t explored it yet, why not check it out?
Next month’s roundup will feature some fantastic projects from our two month challenge, “Portraits.” It’s going to be a tough vote! See you then. 🙂
