I noticed these beetles in the background of New Pork City in Super Smash Bros Brawl, and I immediately thought "cross stitch!" It was tedious to draw the pixels onto this program from the pause screen, but I think it's accurate. The border wasn't pixelized as simply, so I adapted it. It's pretty obscure I guess, but I thought they were awesome.
Click it to get to the detailed version. (click the zoom button under the image when you get there. Arg, I gotta move out of webshots...)
I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna stitch the whole thing, or put each beetle on something different...
Oh, and does anyone know of a good (free?) webhost for weird files like .sth?

Have you ever tried box.net? It says you can upload any type of file on the welcome screen and your storage is free up to one gigabyte. I've used it in the past to upload my RMXP projects when traveling.
Interesting find with the pattern though. I haven't played the game enough or paid enough attention to the backgrounds to ever have seen something like that.
