DMC lacks a neon green for the faceplate and letters, so if you have a better option lying around, by all means use it! I hope to have it stitched up by the end of March for a friend's birthday, so you should see what a finished product looks like in the near future. Since I haven't started yet, I am definitely open for suggestions on any ways to improve the pattern! It is a bit bland, though not bad, I think.

Oh yay a Metroid bookmark! Thanks for posting this, when I get time I'm gonna have a go at this one.
By the way, I have some neon green DMC thread. It is DMC Fluorescent Effects number E990, it's VERY bright lol, I think it would work very well for this pattern

Sweet! Good to know there's something out there - I haven't hit the store for floss in a while, but will definitely look for that color next time I'm at Michael's or Joann.
I started stitching this one recently and realized my colors are terrible. Well, first time creating a pattern, what can you do. I'm going to try and fix the colors when I get a chance, and I'll edit the original post when I do.
Thank you so much for this pattern! I did a palette swap to the Varia suit, and made a fridge magnet with 14ct plastic canvas for a friends birthday. I did end up using the DMC Fluorescent Effects number E990 for the faceplate, and I think it turned out great
