Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
I was wanting to know if I would be able to do this from Super Meat Boy.

The super meat boy looks fine to me, unless anyone else has any objections?

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Greetings everyone,
I do apologize for posting again so soon. Although I am still not sure which images convert nicely into patterns (particularly of the size needed for the quilt), I tried to find some I thought would look nice from the game series I wanted to stitch. I would appreciate any feedback about the images and which ones would convert the best into patterns. If none of them would make a good pattern, that is okay, too; I will try to look again if that is the case. Any assistance with converting one into a nice pattern for the quilt would be very appreciated. Thank you for your time.
(I apologize if the images are too large; I am more than happy to hide them under links, but I am new to posting images on forums, so I am not sure how I would go about doing this. If given directions to do so, I am willing to edit them.)

True, the full screen would probably be much faster than the quilt square, but it's going to having to get in line behind the other projects (stitching, sewing, perler and baking) that I've got planned already. At least I can tell myself it's for an amazing cause when I'm bored to tears doing filler stitches.Aelys wrote:I did it a couple if years ago and believe me, it doesn't take that long at all, as long as you stitch on black Aida. Actually, it may take you longer to just stich the cropped image with all the black backgroud stitchesmooglegirl wrote:Pacman it is then. Hopefully one day I'll find the time to stitch up the full screen pattern that I cropped this from.![]()
This reminds me that I've never posted pics of my complete Pac-Man.I'll have to fix this soon.

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Finally got through all the new posts that popped up while I was on vacation (and away from internet - FOR A WHOLE WEEK
) and signed up for this! I am so psyched! I'm doing Borderlands and Oregon Trail. For Borderlands, I was thinking something like this:

It's Mad Moxxi, who I absolutely adore - but do you think it's recognizable enough?? (That's a screenshot of the pattern - so it won't be any more pixelated, but I still worry about recognizability....)
I am still working on an Oregon Trail pattern, but I figure you really can't go wrong with Oregon Trail....

I love it! I recognized it right away because I love that game. For those that love Borderlands, it will be recognizable, plus we will include the master cheat sheet with it that will show the game.

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
I have been working on patterns for a Dr. Mario square. I made up two options, one with the logo and one without (I know we are trying to avoid using too many logos). The background colors can be changed on either one and so could the sprites for that matter. I like the square with the logo, but what does everyone else think?
). If this image is okay with everyone, I'll play with the colors a bit to get it right! Thoughts?
I've also been working on making a pattern for Halo. My brother says it's from Halo 2 (If it's not, please let me know

I actually like the second Dr Mario square, katdun. I do like the green background, so maybe that's why!
Also, like the Halo 2 square. Is that in-game or one of the promotional images?
Want to remind everyone that we don't want fan art - in-game images are preferable where possible!

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
I did a backwards image search on the Halo pic, and it says on Google that it's a Halo 2 wallpaper from Xbox. I just cropped it from the original. Does that still count? It's not fan art at least!
And the Dr. Mario square, here's a green background with the logo. It doesn't make much of a difference to me which one to stitch, but do you still think green background with no logo? I like the green too (plus I have a ton of it!), I just thought maybe there wouldn't be very many other squares with purple.
