Unfortunately I don't have any secrets; just trial and error. I try to follow the instructions on the label. Instead of using a sink though, I use a 5 gal bucket (the hardware store kind) and a big metal cooking spoon. I feel a bit like an old washerwoman stirring the steaming bucket. The re-dye is setting now, about to wash it, but this one is looking MUCH better. Ended up using the packet of Tulip - Aqua color, and also putting in a good squirt of the Tulip - Liquid Dye (Light Blue). In addition to the fabric being dyed with just the liquid dye to start with.

I'm thinking about selling hand-dyed fabrics on my etsy store; wondering if it would be worth doing? Really I've only played around with shades of blue, so I'd have pretty limited options.
i would definitely buy hand dyed fabric from you, your colors seems to turn out so amazing! i dont know if i would have the patience to do it. easier to just give up the money! XD
I agree! :nod

Now, where's everyone else's WIP pics? :P

Hahaha! Thank you! I'm not very good at technical stuff. I uploaded it onto DA, and the size was much better! :P

I am really jelly of your huge scroll frame. I may need to construct something for myself... the hoop is working out ok so far but it would be really nice to see the whole width at once.

If you do make a scroll frame, it is going to be very heavy! :swoon: Maybe, at this size (3+ feet), something Q-snappy is more practical. Do you know anyone handy who could make you a stand to support the weight of the frame?

My stand actually holds whatever size I need. My current crossbar is 40 inches wide, but I really want to order one that will go up to six feet.
