Re: Introductions
Figured I'd do an intro here. I'm a geeky mum of twin 17 month olds and a formerly avid crafter. Right now my best crafting bet is small cross stitch, so sprites and small pixel art seem to be perfect. Looking forward to getting my first project together soon. I'm also a former programmer, so I do that in my spare time - I'm working on a floss inventory & shopping list application for mobile devices.
That's it for me!

Re: Introductions
Hi everyone
I am a student (physics & engineering) in Australia. I have just rediscovered cross stitch. I want to tackle a big project, specifically A'Tuin and Discworld, but don't really have the time, so am making a lot of smaller projects such as magnets until summer break rolls round again. I have mainly been adapting other people's patterns but I would like to start designing my own soon.

Re: Introductions
<waves> Hi! I am a stay at home mom of a 8 year old boy and a 9 month old baby boy who is medically needy. When my baby isn't keeping me crazy busy (which isn't often) I like to stitch, play video games (love my nintendo ds), bake and eventually work on a doll house my husband and I have planned to make soon. I have a wonderful family and a husband who is super supportive of all of my interests, we play video games together and with our 8 year old as well. Our current MMOs that we play on the computer are Rift and Guild Wars as we eagerly await the release of Guild Wars 2. Right now my current cross stitch projects are mostly Christmas presents for this next xmas, but I take breaks between finishing presents to do a video game sprite stitch. I am sure I will see all of you around on here alot now that I have found this forum, hope to get to know everyone!

Re: Introductions
Hi, I'm a stay-at-home father to two girls, 5 and 2. I tried cross stitch as a youngster, but didn't finish my first project. Recently, I got into it when my wife took it up again. I ran across a couple of pattern design programs and immediately made the sprite connection. I never got a chance to actually make the Pokemon pattern I'd envisioned, but in searching for other patterns, I finally came across Sprite Stitch and was floored. Everyone here is an inspiration, and I've already learned a lot by going through the threads. I can't wait to get started!

Props to being a stay-at-home dad! Not too often you hear about that! But I suppose it must be really nice to spend that time with your daughters. Welcome to Sprite Stitch! We'll be looking forward to seeing your work!RMDC wrote:Hi, I'm a stay-at-home father to two girls, 5 and 2.

Re: Introductions
Hey everyone,
I'm a huge video game fangirl and since I was looking for something to do besides writing my master thesis I found your great forum. I'm amazed by the creativity and the stunning projects you have here, so I decided to buy some thread and give it a go again (I cross-stitched some years ago). I think my first project will be a bookmark or another small object.
In real life I come from Germany and study literature.
