Re: Happy Thread, or YML!
Something actually went well at work today. That may not seem like much, but with the way everything has been going wrong lately I really needed it!

I've had my ADHD medicine for four days now, and this was the first day I got up the confidence to take it, and oh my gosh, I am so, SO relieved. Like oh my gosh guys, the only side effect I had is the lack of appetite, which a lot of people have said seems to go away with time and the low does I'm on works really well, and I'm so relieved because I was so scared about taking it

Re: Happy Thread, or YML!
My wife has FINALLY worked up the motivation and self confidence to start a blog she has been talking about for YEARS.
I am so glad she is finally moving forward with it.
Oh, and we got counter-dumped by our cleaning lady last night. I'm thinking we just dodged a whole bucket of crazy.
Check her out, boost her hits, make her feel special.

I'm glad everyone seems to have some good stuff going on. It's good to balance out the hectic and un-fun.

Re: Happy Thread, or YML!
Well, it has been almost 4 months since I moved to Japan (as part of the JET program) and it is going very well! All the teachers I work with are lovely, and the students too! I have never had a full time job before (apart from a gap year of basically volunteer work) and am loving the wage that comes with it. My apartment is huge! (particularly by Japanese standards) and the fact that it is subsidised teachers accommodation means I am paying less for a months rent here, than I was for a weeks rent back in Australia. My working hours are very reasonable (especially compared to the crazy hours the other teachers do!!). I have made some amazing friends in my town, and am settling in to Japanese life. I am able to regularly visit the Pokemon center in *, which is AMAZING! (good thing I have all that extra money
) I haven't got too homesick, but I am looking forward to when my parents and brother come to visit soon.
Also, it is exam week so for the first time in ages I have had some spare time at work
Basically, my life is pretty awesome right now
YML!

Re: Happy Thread, or YML!
Life normally moves at a sedate, but content pace for us, which is what I thought was happening last night when everyone was standing around giving thanks at our Irish Thanksgiving. But, instead, while I was standing there, elbow deep carving the turkey in front of all of our friends, my boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed!
