So this time around I want to make a housewarming gift for a new friend who just recently got his own place, but dosent have much of his own things to decorate. So i wanted to make him a special gift to decorate his walls with.
Spoiler
I am hoping to do it about 5x10 but i might go a size bigger if it looks better. and preferably 14ct, since that seems to be a lot easier to find.
Oh my god I love this picture!! Please somebody makes it into a pattern, because it's super cool!!
I am a self learner who started stitching in high school. After years of break I am finally back to cross stitching, thanks to this forum!
Going on projects:
- Wedding birds (framing phase)
- still undecided
I've tried two times to download and open this image to clean it up etc, and this is what I get..

The first time it happened, I simply screenshotted the picture and cropped it down etc, but it is a huge mess. It pretty much needs pixel by pixel cleaning up around the words and the characters themselves are very pixelated and the colors of the pixelation will mess with any stitching program. A PNG of the image rather than a JPG is recommended as they are usually better for working with.
Sadly, this one also did not work. This is what I got when I tried to open in my image editor program and when I tried with the simple image viewer (only editing allowed with it is rotation), it told me the file is not a png. My hubby says that that usually means that it was saved as that type of file, even though it truly isn't that, and that makes it unreadable by the image programs. The JPG file was the same. Where did you find this image?
I was able to open it in Photoshop CS4, and it looks like it was just the JPG saved as a PNG. I have reduced it in size 50%, applied some colour reduction to the image and saved as GIF. It still needs a little bit of tidying up though. See if you can open this one, Sofara!
