Cool. I was just curious. I've used both full (X's) and halves (/'s (with 2 threads)) on 14 ct. plastic canvas. Your stitches are very neat and your progress is impressive, and I certainly admire your preserverance in all that blue.

I've never used halves. Wouldn't you see much of the canvas then?
Thank you
However I must admit the sky it's getting a bit tedious and I can't say I always looking forward to stich.
Oh... wait... that's the meaning of perseverance, I guess haha. Finding it a bit tedious, but still doing it.
Thank you

With half stitches, I've found that the canvas (with 14 ct.) isn't as noticable as you'd think it would be if you use the equivilant of 4 strands (I say equivilant because I use two long strands and thread the needle down to the middle of both). Using the plastic canvas method used when you're doing larger counts like 7 and 10 also helps as well.

It took a while before I understood what you meant by
That way the needle gets "secured" and can't fall of, right? Sometimes the needle falls of for me, but I've never thought I could do something about it.

Here's a pic to illustrate what I mean so you can actually see it... Please excuse the crappiness of it... I whipped it up in GIMP real quick since it's faster than taking a pic with my POS camera...

Yeah and the reason to do it is to keep the needle secured on the thread so it can't fall off, right?

Re: Mega Man - Elec Man stage - WIP
Basically yes. It is the way I do my cross stitch that requires 2 strands of floss. I cut my color (provided it's not meant to be blended with another color) into longer stands and rather than use two, I use one folded in half with the needle threaded to the middle. Makes the thread much more secure on the needle. It can be a bit of a pain to unknot when it does happen to do it, but it doesn't do it too often.
