After 5 weeks of stitching...

I'm also thinking about redoing the white parts in this section I did the white first and it's being eaten by the black. But it might be just me who cares. And it will be a pain to restitch.
When thinking of what color I should use for the sky, I realized that it doesn't matter what color I choose if it don't go well with Mega Man himself.Like Oscar said:
I have started to fill in the black parts and with both the black and Mega Man I'm not sure the sky can be so much brighter.oscarthegrouch108 wrote:The background does seem a bit dark in the photo, but it will help Mega-Man stand out since he'll be in lighter colors

Re: Mega Man - Elec Man stage - WIP
It looks really amazing!
I know what you mean by the black "eating" the white, although personally, that's generally what I want. I mean that when I use a black fabric, I start with the lighter colors and finish with the darker colors (so I would start with the white and finish with the black). When I use a white fabric, I start with darker and finish with lighter. I feel otherwise white on a black fabric stands out too much and it looks weird. But that's really just my personal preference.

It's coming along nicely. I saw that you're unsure about the color of the sky and looking at your picture, to me it looks like 3765 which is a very dark peacock blue. I have the color in my thread box now and looked at it compared to your picture. It's VERY close in my opinion to the color of the sky.

Thank you guys!
One more thing I've realized working on this project is that .png images can differ from program to program.
I use Microsoft/Windows Paint and Imageviewer and when I had them open at the same time next to eachother, I saw the colors weren't the same. I googled and it was something with different palettes. Stupid computers.

Ok, I always start with the lighter colors and finish with darker. That way the lighter colors gets secured by darker ones. Sometime I secured a darker thread with a lighter one, and the darker thread was visible "through". But I might have been a stitching n00b.Lileya wrote:I mean that when I use a black fabric, I start with the lighter colors and finish with the darker colors (so I would start with the white and finish with the black). Good luck finding the right color for your background. I didn't open the image in anything on my own computer, I just looked at it here, and judged based on that.

I love the metal work. Some reason that type of images look so good stitched.

Ah ok, yeah no I'm just saying.
And I don't know if browsers can show .png differently. Maybe. I probably saved the .png in a... not so good way.
All I know is that when the time comes to finally choose the color, I will have beslutsångest.
