Hi everyone! I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Krystal. I'm 29, from Cincinnati, Ohio. I just recently (like within the last week or so) got back into cross-stitching after an over five year hiatus. While browsing Pinterest, my two favorite worlds collided, cross-stitch and gaming. I seriously thought I'd died and gone to heaven LOL

I've already kicked out a small version of Robert Indiana's "Love" that I'm making for a framed piece for my room. Since my floss stash has dwindled over time, I'm thinking either a couple of the awesome Portal pieces that I've found here, or maybe the Assassin's emblem; from two of my favorite games.

I can't wait to chat with you guys and gals about floss, fabric, patterns, and the occasional gaming session!

Hello, everyone. Most people call me Remy or hey you. I've recently moved to another country and married my long time sweety and best friend. I'm usually hiding under a rock suffering from insomnia making something. I paint, sculpt, cross stitch, make chain maille, write and anything else I can self teach myself. Current project is hopefully to complete 100 xmas ornaments. Hope to locate my camera soon. :bye:

Hey guys. I've been lurking on this forum for about 8 months and I thought it was finally time to introduce myself. I started doing crafts based on video game sprites a few years ago but only started cross-stitching about 6 months ago, and it's by far my favourite! I'm a graduate student in Canada and, aside from actually playing games, stitching them has become my new favourite past time!

Hi there!
I finally found some time to post here :)
Just to say this is an amazing place, a dream come true I'd even say, for geek-cross-stitchers like me. :clapping: A big thank you to the admins and people dedicated who make the place live and do magic :)
I'm San, short for Sandrine, I live in France (are there other French people here?) and I've been cross stitching all I can since 2009. That's not as much as I would like with the day job, other time consuming passions and so on, but still
I have a few things on FB, DA (with my little home-made-in-Paint patterns) and well, if I find some time, I would love to enter a swap, a quilt charity at some point... We'll see how far that goes, since I got a few projects in line before ^^'
Anyways, good to see you, I know a few names around here (from DA). Y'all be good, see you around! :P

Hi all! I'm Emma, I'm from Canberra in Australia and I've been stitching since my Grandma taught me when I was 12. I've actually used this site to find awesome patterns for a few years now - I've made the Companion Cube, the Tetris bookmark and I'm working on the nerdy dice pattern now to make into a dice bag for my partner, and I figured it was definitely time to sign up. Thanks to everyone who has already helped me out without even knowing it. :clapping:

Figured an introductions thread would be a safe place to start posting.
My name is Sara and I'm a caffeinated geek girl originally from a small town in Pennsylvania that is infamous for flooding. It would be safe to say I have been raised around arts and crafts. My mom owned a craft store when I was really little. And most of the family on that side has either been into drawing, graphic design or something as simple as my youngest sister being a pro at building things with fimo clay.

I have attempted knitting (failed miserably on that one) and painting--I attempted to do a set of Legend of Zelda pieces for the cake toppers for my wedding. Mom saved the day on that one when I just couldn't get that triforce just right..
I have been cross stitching on and off for roughly two years. It mostly started with small baby things that I attempted to make in order to prepare for the arrival of my niece. She wound up showing up a bit early though, so I didn't get to finish that project.
I came back to stitching a few months after moving. Currently working on a Halloween-inspired Hello Kitty piece and will be soon starting chemistry-themed ornaments for my coworkers.

I've been a long time lurker on here (actually it wound up being my husband who introduced me to the site) It is AMAZING to see what kind of talents exist out there.
