For the Horde!
New to cross stitch and this is my first finished piece. No idea what I'm going to do with it, but it was fun. Going to move on to the dark side with cookies before I try anything too advanced.

It looks awesome! I am a Horde girl myself. Haven't played WoW in a few years now, but I always played female Horde characters. I had 3 level 80's when I stopped playing. I do miss it sometimes but not enough to go back to it. I mostly miss my level 80 undead mage who my profile here is named after.

That's pretty ambitious for your very first project. Nice work.

I, personally do not recommend giving in and going back to it.SofaraStarfyre wrote:It looks awesome! I am a Horde girl myself. I played from beta to the END of BC, and quit just before WotLK came out.
I had... one of each class max level, and at least one of each profession maxed. :o Major altitis, high end raiding guild, the works.
But I stopped. Cold turkey, even.
My SO convinced me somehow to start playing again when MoP came out. I regret it to this day. It pretty much ruined all the warm nostalgia feeling I had for the game. I still miss the 'old' game, but now it's tainted. It's essentially an entirely new game. Pretty much everything has changed, from areas looking completely different, to crazy talent trees, to oversimplified dungeons and unnecessary achievements.
I tried to give it a chance. I stuck around long enough to get two toons to 90 (From scratch! I did NOT recover my old account), get 150+ mounts, and about 35 exalted reps. :o But never again. It definitely ruined the nostalgia I had from the old game.
I imagine if I had played through all those expansions, and watched these things GRADUALLY change, I would be okay with it. If I were like the people who STARTED with the more recent expansions, I may like it too. But speaking from someone who put it down for 4-5 years and tried to pick it back up again, it's a shock. :o It's an entirely different game.

Re: For the Horde!
I have no intention of going back. My hubby and I both quit because we were in a good guild with friends but they were all so intent on raiding this that and everything and we are casual players. We played to enjoy the game not be pushed or pulled into every raid... It got tiring after a while. I only miss it sometimes but not enough to go back, and even if I ever really wanted to, I couldn't. My account got hacked some time after my hubby and I quit, and even though I called SOE about it, I don't know if it ever got truely taken back.
