Thats coming along really well. It's such an epic project, and it will look fantastic when its done. Are you planning to sneak the new gen into the pattern or have you cut the fabric down to size already?

Re: Pokemon all Gens WIP *updated Jan 23*
Here is my weekly update - total of 15/270 pages done, sitting at 221 hours of work over 12 weeks. I'm nearly 1/4 done the first quarter of the project!

To answer the question - i dont think i have the skill to sneak in extra pokemon, as cute as the gen VI starters are. Once this is done, i can probably start on an epic gen VI-X cross stitch!Pyper wrote:Thats coming along really well. It's such an epic project, and it will look fantastic when its done. I'm not a fan of Pokemon, so I don't feel I can appreciate it as much as others, but I command you for all the time and efforts you've put into this. I wish I could stitch that quickly. I'm sure the finished result will look amazing!!

Current projects :
Out of commission after surgery until May.
Currently playing : Speed runs of Biohazard HD Remaster

I'm going to be doing the epic Gen I X-stitch soon, and I wanna ask if you have any tips when it comes to switching colors so often without wasting thread? Also- what do you have the project sitting on? Just a normal table?
Sorry I know that I'm asking alot of questions xD

I don't know if i have any tips for not wasting thread, i probably waste more then some other people. I generally don't work with 18" lengths since there is so much switching. I try to do one color completely at a time (on a per page basis) and i will "go over" the page lines if there are a few stitches that are adjacent.mystikdreamer wrote:I'm going to be doing the epic Gen I X-stitch soon, and I wanna ask if you have any tips when it comes to switching colors so often without wasting thread? I stitch at my my computer desk. I've never used a loop or anything to hold my work for me. I'm using some large jaw hair clips to keep the material rolled up at the top end and a smaller one to roll behind me as i finish a section.

Re: Pokemon all Gens WIP *updated Jan 30*
Ahhh. I use the under loop method, so whatever I cut ends up being half what it originally was. I ended up buying a scroll frame (this is the first of many large projects I'm planning, so it was a good investment for me) so we'll see how that workssamarin wrote:I don't know if i have any tips for not wasting thread, i probably waste more then some other people. Its pretty! Keep up the awesome work!
Quick little question. About how much time in a day/week do you spend on the project? I've started the Epic Pokemon Gen 1, and my plan is to give it to my little sister (not related, but we have been best friends for over 12 years) for christmas since we met over a holographic charizard card. I'm just unsure how to budget my time without suffering from burnout.
