If I could do quarter stitches for this instead it would still be okay, otherwise the character will look a little weird (but hopefully still recognizable). The french knots could easily enough be changed to quarter and/or backstitching overtop, or I can just do away with the details.
Quarter stitches and half stitches are ok as long as the entire square is filled (make sure 2 halfs or 4 quater stitches in the square), but please NO backstitching or french knots at all. The backstitching won't be as secure and could catch and pull when the quilt is being used.

Remember, we are not making a picture to hang, we are making a quilt that may be used.
Okay, will change my details to quarter stitches. :) I'm just happy I don't have to scrap the whole thing, as I'd already started stitching it before checking if it was alright.

Sooo...for some reason the "no custom ideas" rule slipped from my mind when I made this pattern, but it's mostly just an omission/rearrangement of the actual screenshot I was doing:

Any chance this can slide in? Pretty please?

I just got my fabric in today and just got done measuring it. It's 1/4" off in one way, and 1/8" the other way. Is that okay? The brand is Wichelt-Permin.

Should be fine! Permin is lovely to work with and definitely one of my favourites (along with Zweigart) :D

Yup, up to 1/4 inch is fine. It is when it goes above 1/4 inch that it starts causing problems.

Thankyou! I was worried I'd have to find a different game, I don't mind if you have to change the picture, anything from Harvest Moon would be great to do. Not to worry if you can't get it to work though.

Sweet! I've started on my Chrono Cross piece. Realized I have to buy a *ton* of colors for it, as it's pretty detailed, but I'm excited at how it'll turn out. I may have to make one for myself later!

Looking at getting my fabric and I'm wondering is it ok to get a piece that's 10x15 even though you want 15x15? It's either that or going to 18x21 and spending an extra $4 for wasted fabric.

Edit: Nevermind, I found a 15x18 piece for a dollar more. Trying to be economical because I don't have a lot of spare monies. lol

I asked my daughter if she wanted to do a square and she said she did. I added her onto mine and put her in my second square with Sugar Rush, if that's ok. :)
