Can I use a finished project from a pattern that I paid for or does it have to be my own original pattern?

Re: OCT - NOV Challenge - Glow in the Dark!
Ooh, I'm really excited for this! I'm going to find a way to join in, even though I'm in the middle of moving. It's a good thing we have 2 months. (Especially since I'm still working on my mini swap gift!)
I made a great score a few months ago. For some reason at Hobby Lobby, all of their DMC color variations and glow-in-the-dark floss was in the clearance section. I bought as many as I could afford to. I hope that it doesn't mean that Hobby Lobby won't carry them anymore.
I've never used glow-in-the-dark floss, so I'm really excited to try it.

You can use any pattern you like, obviously originals are preferred but I am aware that sometimes it's not easy to come up with something!KKracky wrote:Can I use a finished project from a pattern that I paid for or does it have to be my own original pattern?
Is this pattern something you have already finished or will be stitching? I ask because I prefer people to make things specifically for a challenge rather than previously finished pieces

This is something I planned on starting this month and finishing before Halloween, it just fits this theme perfectly.blackmageheart wrote:You can use any pattern you like, obviously originals are preferred but I am aware that sometimes it's not easy to come up with something!KKracky wrote:Can I use a finished project from a pattern that I paid for or does it have to be my own original pattern?

I hope I'll be able to enter this one. I have a great idea, but it all depends on whether my 'local' Michael's carries glow-in-the-dark thread. I won't be able to go until Thursday morning and the wait is awful.

I'm sorry I won't participate to this one...
I still haven't received my threads order for my main project, I'm so angry... and still not refund.
I don't want to spend money for (glowing) threads for the moment
I can't wait to see your wonderful entries though !

Well, I decided I want to have a go at my first challenge and this seems like a really exciting one to launch my challenge career!
Thread and fabric ordered today - shame I haven't come up with an idea of what to do yet!!!! I'm hoping inspiration will hit me when I have the materials to hand!

I didn't realize I was looking in the wrong spots for glow-in-the-dark thread so if a local place has some I will be doing this as soon as I'm done with my swap gift.

This challenge makes me wish I was a cross stitcher! I've pretty much only done some cross stitch over crochet for embellishment. This sounds awesome; I'm excited to see everyone's work.
