This project is amazing! The idea of stitching a gaming board is awesome, and makes me put on my thinking cap...
But, one question. How would you go about protecting a project like this in order to use it as an actual gaming board? Framing seems like it would make it unwieldy. Would you Mod Podge it? Or does anyone else have any other suggestions?
Or perhaps I'm missing the point. It's been known to happen! Would something like this be purely decorative, and not for actual gaming use?

On the one I made, I sewed felt to the back so it could be rolled up and stored easily- kinda like the oversized checker boards. If you wanted a showcase piece, or you played a lot and wanted to protect it, framing it would be good. When I make one for my family, I'm going to frame it and hang it in my husband's man-cave

Oh which program do you use to open this with? I only have kchart or what was it. I don't have pc stitch, if somebody could pdf it for me that would be awesome, if indeed it isn't compatible with what i have, I'll check tomorrow.

The Nintendo one I could do with his knowledge though, so I'm very interested in that as well. Definitely I second adding a Metroid, Samus and the ship for one of those sets of 3 and the other could be Kirby, Meta Knight and King Dedede.
Since you have a pipe where "utilities" go, what about a pipe with a piranha plant at the other utilities space?
