Re: Final Fantasy Project
Still haven't done anything with FFVIII, haha. I'm horrible at actually completing a piece once it's stitched. 8D
But!
After tweaking up the chart this weekend, I finally was able to find (and get in!) a sorta local LNS and buy supplies for the next one, eeeeeeeee!
I'm so excited but have to do a million things before I can even start, gah. How dare life get in the way of stitching!

Re: Final Fantasy Project
I was actually considering posting the patterns on Etsy at some point (gotta fund the floss addiction, right? XD)~ But, if I decide not to, I'll definitely post them here!

Re: Final Fantasy Project
Well, gosh, only six months after picking up the supplies, I finally got the next one started, weeeeee~
Can you guess which one I chose by seeing this poorly photographed single color?
Also visible: my lame attempt at gridding. I.Hate.It. gah. @__o;;

I knew I could count on the SS forum! XD. Yesh, it is indeed FF7~ I'd post more pics but no RealInternet until the weekend (the joys[?] of living in the boonies!). It's a bit more obvious now.

Re: Final Fantasy Project
SinceIhaveRealInternetAccess... progress pic!
I've only finished the one leg of cross-stitch in the colored part at this point (I wanted to get an idea of the whole before I started playing around with the gradient in the other leg.) I love some of the colors, others only "ehhhhhh, does this reeeally work...?" I'm hoping the other leg fixes my concerns, but if it doesn't... at least I only have half stitches to pick out? ._.;
But the lettering is started! Two-over-one black on 22-count isn't the easiest thing for me; I envy you linen stitchers!

Looking great!
It's hard at first but once you get used to it, you fly through it! I love 2 over 1 on 22 count!rosey175 wrote:Two-over-one black on 22-count isn't the easiest thing for me

Re: Final Fantasy Project
Internet Access! I'm slowly getting into a routine of posts around my various haunts. It makes for a busy, computer-filled weekend, haha.
Anyway, I present a completed FFVII in a moderately terrible cell phone picture! It was washed and ironed and the darn creases would not iron out. Sadness & Sorrow. Maybe blocking would work...?
I was a bit more careful making this chart and got it down to 10 colors, including black. When I stitched it though, two of the lighter blues were verrrrry similar so I took one out. Too many colors would confuse me.
Here's the size comparison with FFVIII:
I... probably should've used a bigger piece of fabric. There's not much on the sides for framing. I hope my framer doesn't hate me. ^^;;;
Now which one should I chart out? Ahhh, decisions...
