Also saw the quilt on this blog - http://www.tikisaurus.com/blog/special/ ... ction.html.
I left a comment to see if the poster knows how much it went for! :D

EDIT: The Tikisaurus poster, Serathis, replied to my comment - saying that they believe the quilt went for over $2,000 (although they couldn't be sure of the actual price). So, yay! :D

This is SOO Exciting!! I am soooo happy that it was popular and had soo much love!!

So does this mean we are doing it again next year?! If so, I definitely volunteer to do all of the quilting, embroidery, and coordinating with Child's Play again. I think this is definitely a success for us. There is no way we could have raised $2000 on our own.

I think there should be a Child's Play Quilt badge! :) I am so happy it went over so well! And that was just for the silent auction. Pretty awesome!! :yahoo:

You should ask on the "what the forum needs" post. I think its a great idea.

And a yearly thing? Hells yes.

I still have my patch I didn't finish in time stored away in my cross stitch drawer just waiting for the next quilt. I'm glad the quilt was such a success since everyone worked so hard on it!

That's awesome! I was bummed I couldn't help last year, will definitely have to do something if it's done again.

Maybe we could organize earlier? It would give folks like me who have feck and all free time more of a chance to get something done for it.

Umm, I am not sure when you saw it Eliste, but we started organizing and taking squares last October 2010, that was an entire year. If we do one for next year, we are actually getting started a lot later. The squares need to be to me by September 1st so I have time to quilt it and get it out by October 1st.

So I guess we should get started for next year? If there isn't anyone that wants to organize and take the reigns I can do it since I am getting the final squares and quilting anyways.
