Another Portal Cross Stitch Project!

Post by bikyclist »

So, I started this project forever and a day ago, but I finally finished stitching the large square and framed it!
This has the honour of being the first large project I've done, as well as the first large project where I have made all of the patterns myself!

Each of the little squares is 7x7cm, the Aperture Laboratories is 25x10ish cm and the companion cube&person is 14/14cm.
Final frame size is like 48cm x 35cm or some odd combination like that.

I've got patterns for it all if anyone wants them too. :)

I like the way it's framed. That's amazing. Did you have it professionally framed?

I gotta agree, that is very nicely framed. And their positioning is good too...
Nicely done. Especially for a first project.

I actually framed it myself, With a $20 frame and a $1.50 piece of black poster paper, I'd guess you'd call it? I just took my time ruling lines on the back so it was all perfectly straight before I started cutting :)

This looks great :) I'd love it if you posted the patterns, I have been thinking of doing a similar project, and after seeing how good yours looks, I definately want to do one

Great work! I also love the framing job-- it looks so good I also thought it was professionally done!

Amazing. I should have thought of using bristal board or something as a make-skift matte. o wo

Thanks everyone, I love that everyone here appreciates the effort that goes into things like framing cross stitch, my house mates just don't get it, or understand my portal and general cross stitch love :)

I've posted the patterns over in the Patterns area, and here is the link!
