Ideas for next challenge? Discuss! :D

Now that the vote is up for the May/June challenge, I thought it would be a good idea to get some ideas for the next challenge.
I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts and ideas. Which theme? How long or short should the challenge be? What kind of challenge?

We had lots of good ideas last time, here's a reminder of them:
Astrological signs / symbols
Summer theme
Magnet set
Family theme
Cake
Mini project

Would this be August/September? If I remember correctly we did the mini swap last September? We could do a repeat of that...
Or how about a challenge based on one game, like portal, to see what people can come up with?

Yeah, it'd most likely be August/September, the reason for that being that it's July now and so slightly too late to get started, also some people are still finishing up on their quilt squares and they might like to join in, too.

I like the idea of another mini-swap, it requires slightly more planning on this end of things, but I think it'd be good. The other idea is a good one, similar to the FF stitch-a-long we had a while back (although that wasn't a challenge per se).

Anyone else got anything to add?

I'm a teacher, so when I hear August/September I automatically think Back-to-School. Maybe a School themed challenge-- could exchange certain characters for favorite college mascots, or just have "lessons" that certain characters would teach.

I'm a fan of the mini swap again this year. Maybe that would be better around the Holidays though, or we could make it a multi-month swap.

Portal-themed or swap gets my vote.

I'm not much of a portal-fan (yet)... so my vote goes to a swap (but maybe that's much more fun to do for the christmas holidays?) or something else... I do like the "Going back to school"-idea...

I think a going back to school one would be cool - it could be NPCs that "teach" in games / life lessons learned from video games/ etc...
