I've edited this picture up a bit. Took out a lot of the white in the background so it can be done on either a white or ivory aida or linen (18ct Aida).
As you know, I'm known for bigger projects with lots of colors and this one is no exception.

Man these projects look SO good but are SO hard, at least for me. I have a lot of trouble when it comes to stitching a lot of very similar colors. I lose my place.

I can completely understand that. I found a trick that worked for me was tacking my pattern before hand. You can see it with my wesker WIP with the yellow thread. From there I'm only having to worry about 10x10 stitch boxes. I find I don't lose my place . Out of the entire project I've only made one mistake around the ear. When I'm done I simply cut the yellow thread and slide it right out.

It's funny you should suggest that because I just finished doing that to my current project after getting fed up trying to count! It really does help.

That's so true. I stitch in the basement and always thought 310 and 939 were the same until I got into good light and realized 939 was a navy blue.
