A fantabulous friend of mine is moving away to California soon, and I thought I'd make her a going away present. I was torn between something MGS related, which she would adore, or something Mega Man related since she's dating the drummer for The Megas. I ended up going with MGS, because I'm selfish and wanted to see if doing half stitches would create a more sketch-like look, and also it would be faster.
2 days of stitching, just over 2200 stitches for the image, not too sure about the words. With all the WIPs I've got going on, I'm pretty much amazed I managed to get this done!
Thanks guys! I'll upload both the image I used to make the pattern, and my KG-Chart pattern. In the pattern, I marked off the stitches as I went with a different color, so you can see exactly what I've done, but there are areas (his arm and gun) that I didn't stitch because I didn't think I could fit the whole thing in the frame as well as the words. I saved over the original sth file as I went, but if the grey bothers you, you can always just use the fill tool to replace the black. The image is from Metal Gear Ghost Babel, and I grabbed it from this sheet: http://spriters-resource.com/gameboy/mggb/sheet/9764
EDIT: I used the Caption Maker's free font 1 to chart the text, and just guesstimated where my middle line was to work from: http://www.crosstitch.com/fontform/
