Fantastic job.
Thanks! Yeah the Black Mage thing is an inside joke on another forum but it's also effective for scale like you said. For anyone playing along at home, I have a big Wolverine project that will probably be finished up before year end! (and now that I've said it, I have to do it! ha)

Finally got around to taking an appropriate picture with my head for scale! haha

Another thing that's been sitting in the corner is my Wolverine cover that I wanted to finish by the end of last year. It's inspired by Marvel Civil War cover art by Humberto Ramos.

And here's a Yoshi. Original pixel art by AbyssWolf on DeviantArt!

I had no idea the start screen was that big!! I'm simply stunned.

I made a duck from duck hunt in perler beads and just about threw it across the room I got so frustrated with those stupid beads...I can't believe you made something this big.

I think people need to start posting scale shots on these large perler projects...

(this is going on the blog tomorrow morning btw)

Yes, I think the problem for Perler artists is that we take for granted that everyone knows how big the beads are. I kind of feel like re-taking pictures of the sprites I have left with me or something else nearby for scale.
Thanks for the spotlight treatment on the blog! It makes me feel like making another one!

The start screen is bigger than I thought too. And I even do perler beading. I love the Wolverine and Yoshi. So much detail. Looks so awesome!

From what you described I pictured it big but not that big. Holy crap! And the Wolverine is awesome too. Damn good work.
