Cross Stitching Tutorial

Post by DMLC »

I thought this might help people just getting into cross stitching.....
Except I don't knot my work...... rather tuck it into my other stitches.

That was such a cute way to introduce the craft, me thinks.
And yeah, knots = bad, tucking = good. =]
Also, I usually start in the middle of the pattern and the middle of the fabric so there is always a lot of excess fabric that can easily be removed later.
I am guilty of stitching in a moving vehicle though. =P

Well I wouldn't be worried about the stitches-- be more worried over the motion sickness!!
I can't do anything like read, play video games or stitch -- I would be pretty sick real fast!!

I stitch in the vehicle too when Dh is home because he always wants to drive. I don't mind because then I can get more done. Plus, I run out of things to talk about quick so this gives me an excuse to not listen :P I usually have a small travel one tucked away in either one of them jic :secret

I love that different coloured half-stitching. Thanks for posting that tutorial
