How To Recolor A Pokemon Sprite

Post by ObiwanKimobi »

Hello! I am trying to recolor some pokemon sprites from their original look to pink/purple gradient.

Is there a simpler way to do this than recoloring each individual pixel in MS paint?

if you have photoshop or a program like that, yes! I think I recall using something like a mask or an overlay in Photoshop to do a similar thing years ago. I can't quite remember the names but it's something you can do to layers, if that helps?

No worries! I'm sure some of the free art programs do something similar with layering etc. Back in the day we used to use GIMP and stuff like that but I've no idea what's available these days!
