I saw this and just had to make it... That was a day ago - I'm half finished now, and my brother has requested for me to make one for him.

Love the pattern!! <3

I loved this so much I had to make it! I made a couple of slight alterations: I used 2 strands for backstitching the outline of each piece, and 1 strand for the rest of it, plus I goofed up a little when I was counting from top to bottom, so there are a couple of extra rows with extra pieces to complete the look.

Thanks again, Nyssa!

Nitewing wrote:Is there anything special you have to do to finish a bookmark? It seems that you wouldn't tape the edges. With a stitch that I do I just tape the edges because I frame it anyway and you can't see it. What would you do with a bookmark to make sure it won't fray?
if you can get hold of aida band you dont need to tape the edges, unless you mean the ends- i dont tape mine and try not to get it caught in anything- so far, its worked! :tease:

Hi!
I'm new to the forum and I love Tetris, I'm not that experienced at cross-stitching yet but hopefully I get there.
Anyway I made my own take on the pattern that I hopefully will have manged to upload and insert. It's my first attempt on pattern making or well pattern tweaking I guess is a better word.

I wanted to post it as a picture in the post but it turned out that I couldn't figure how to turn the file into an image file. I thought I figured it out and was all happy only to realize it didn't work out :yahoo:

you could always fold over the edges and use a couple of stitches in the pattern to hold it in place, then cover the back with ribbon so no-one will ever know.

Great idea! I think I'll try it when I get around to making it.

This was the first pattern I decided to do off of this site! I am on my fourth colour of "blocks" right now and I am loving it!
