Pic uploads

Every post I see on the boards has the pics neatly formatted, but every time I upload, it's a massive block you need to open separately. What am I doing wrong here lol?

We generally edit our pics before uploading using any image editing software.

We have a good little guide on how to do so, if tech isn't your first language! :D

I always upload my photos to my flickr account and then upload a correctly sized image from there.

If you have a Mac, from the Photos application if you export at "Medium" size it looks good on the posts.
