My name is Amy (but feel free to call me Alondira as well, I answer to both). I am from a little town just outside of Cambridge in England.

I have been a lurker on here for a while as a lot of people seem to be. I have been cross stitching for around 20 years (I was about 6 when I picked it up). Anyway, I have always put it down and picked it back up again as most people seem to do. Recently I have picked it all up again (a 4 month summer holiday away from uni).

Along with cross stitching, I can sew clothing (I used to attend the MCM expo so I made all of my cosplays for that), knit and vaguely crochet. I am also a huge gamer (mostly an RPG background-Final Fantasy is the biggest gaming influence I can think about). I discovered this site when researching different project ideas, I found the Serenity ship from Firefly on here, and just stuck around. I have many plans for different patterns and projects that need to be completed.

Currently I am working on the Celtic FC emblem for my brothers Christmas present, after that we shall see what happens (what thread I currently have and size of aida available). I am thinking of the Sophie and Howl cross stitch that I found on here =)

Hi everyone! I'm Freya. I've been cross-stitching for 5 years. I'm not sure if I should give out my age, but let's just say that the majority of, if not all, members of this message board are MUCH older than I am!

Anyways, I love cross-stitching but for a long time I've just been sticking to templates, particularly the Mouseloft patterns. However I stumbled upon this site just last week and found an excellent Professor Layton sprite pattern, which I decided to make into a bookmark for my aunt. It came out great, and so I thought I'd join so that I could have a go at posting my own patterns. I like video games, and although my liking for them in general has decreased over the last few years due to my interests leaning towards other things like anime and music, I still love to play sometimes. I'm just very particular about what I play. I have ADORED the Spyro The Dragon for ages and still do, and I also like Professor Layton, Super Mario, Kirby and Monkeyball. I like Pokemon as well but I have gone off it quite a bit. I think it's because I prefer the older generations; am not a big fan of Black and White. I love Pacman too, and Bubble Bobble but I am having trouble finding the original version anywhere, have only come across Puzzle Bobble recently.

Thanks for reading! I hope it's alright for me to join. There didn't seem to be any age restrictions, so... yeah :gb :D

No need to give out your age if you don't want to, but we welcome all ages here so don't worry!

I guess I joined over a month ago so I suppose I should introduce myself.

I live in Moncton, NB, Canada with my wonderful husband and my adorable children. Even though I consider myself a scientist I've always loved arts and crafts. I currently cross stitch but I used to draw, hand sew, quilt and paint water colour & acrylic. I've played video games most of my life but I'm not very good. I mostly play rpg's (I over level so I can easily destroy everyone) and harvest moon & rune factory (I can go at my own slow pace without being punished).

This site is awesome and the forum is so friendly I just had to join!

(Plus the great smilies :1up :pika :NES )

My name is Scott and I'm a software engineer from Dallas, TX. Believe it or not, the engineer in me found cross stitching to be one of the most logical craft pursuits out there (without using a computer). I guess it was inevitable that I would find this site that melds computers/gaming and stitching! I have been lurking for quite awhile and really enjoy looking at all the wonderful things everyone is working on.

Hi!! I'm Alice. I'm super excited about your website. I'm a nerdy girl gamer/cross-stitcher. I am at a disadvantage, though, because I have a Mac, and few of the cross-stitch softwares work on my computer :( I was also wondering about the ethics of making some of these patterns to sell at a local game shop or comic book shop? It would be very small scale, mostly for fun. Should I create patterns (that may already exist) to make, or can I use ones that are already posted? Please let me know!

Thanks fellow stitchers!

Hello,

I joined this wonderful forum a few weeks ago, but this is actually my first post. I figured I should bother to introduce myself.

I used to cross-stitch a lot when I was a little girl and have been cross-stitching from time to time (mostly for xmas gifts). A few months ago, I had an idea of cross-stitching Super Mario World sprites into a bathroom towel and I thought I was very original and that this had never been done. Then I discovered this website and realized my idea had been done pretty much a 100 times already and wasn't original at all! XD Right now I'm working on a LoZ OoT project for my husband as a xmas present with patterns I found on this website. I also plan on working on a big Phantasy Star IV project after xmas.

On a more personal level, I'm guessing I'm in the oldest members of this forum (hitting the big 30 in a couple months, bleh...). I'm french canadian (so don't pick on my english mistakes please! ;_;) and I'm a huge video games player. I feel like, except for my job, everything revolves around video games in my life (hobby, music, conversations and now cross-stitch!! XD).

This forum is amazing and I'm glad to now be a part of it! :D

You know in the "intro video" when it quickly flashes a screenshot of Chaz, Wren, Rika and Rune (one after the other)? I'll use those and in the middle I'm gonna put the PSIV logo. I haven't decided yet if I'll make it into one big cloth or 5 separate cloths with a custom frame. I'm leaning towards a custom frame.

Don't steal my idea, I totally wanna be the first one to do this!! ;o
