Hello everyone!

I am a long time lurker on this site, I love it! I decided that I needed to break down and register since I am on here so much!

I have tried to cross stitch but I am not very good at it. I tend to stick more to the perler bead patterns. Thanks for the awesome site!

I love your name! I wish I'd thought of that one. I was Focused, Non-Terminal Repeating Phantasm on MSN a while back, puzzled the hell out of a lot of my contacts :P

Welcome to all the new peoples :D

Hey everyone - just joined the site yesterday and thought I'd introduce meself.

Name is Andy - I'm a 29 year old guy living in Perth, West Australia. Started getting back into cross-stitching recently, and stumbled across this site while roaming around for communities of like-minded people :) Glad to know there are others out there who share my enjoyment of gaming and crafts. Been a hugely avid gamer for longer than I can remember - used to play WoW, but haven't played in months. playing mostly on the PS3 or XBox lately, playing Borderlands, Mass Effect, and Alpha Protocol. Am also a huge fan of D&D (both table-top and PC games).

Haven't been working on any gaming themed stitches - honestly never would have thought to do so had it not been for this site - but the work I do tends to focus mostly on fantasy style images. Currently working on Water Wizard, by Dyan Allaire, but since finding this site I'm planning on doing some of the crests from the World of Warcraft races, starting with the Worgen crest.

Hope to catch you all on the forums!

Hi, I'm Six! I'm 29 and I've been crocheting since I was in after-school care. I just recently took up cross stitch once I finally made the connection that stitches=pixels. There aren't a lot of professionally produced needlepoint patterns that interest me, but I'm glad to see there's a whole community of creative folks swapping ideas for video game-inspired pieces of awesomeness.

I just recently moved to North Carolina, too, so I don't know if y'all do meetups or what not, but it'd be great to find a group.

Haven't done an introduction yet, so I figured I would. I'm Phillip and I live in the "Loveliest Village on the Plain", Auburn, AL. I have been coming to spritestictch for a while to admire all the awesome stuff people make, and finally decided to become active on the forums about a month ago. I learned how to cross stitch when I was very young (taught by my mom who I believe is a master at it), and I can still remember my first pieces. My very first one was a strawberry, which I no longer have, followed by a bass (the fish), which I somehow miraculously was able to hold on to and still have to this day. I then proceeded to make a "sampler" of 4-5 fish that was pieced together by my mom. It was a Christmas present for my grandfather, and I think he still has it on his wall. After that I have no recollection of any more cross stitches as I apparently entered my own version of the "dark ages" of cross stitching.

However, I started other hobbies, such as collecting trading cards, playing video games, tinkering with computers, reading, listening to music, making music (which includes singing), fixing things, trying to make or build things, geocaching, filming, and who knows what else. I came to the realization that I enjoy a LOT of different things. So a few years ago, not having any recollection of why I quit in the first place, I decided to take up the needle again, and since then I have completed more than 10 works (most from patterns, and I took my sweet time on some of them), have at least 4 in progress, and have started to delve into the realm of making my own patterns. So it's safe to say that I really enjoy cross stitching as much as any other hobby I have.

So that's just a little about me and my love of cross stitching. If you want to know more, go to my blog at http://philsnextkick.wordpress.com, where I infrequently post about stuff.
Current Projects: Crocheting stuff, writing letters, cross stitching stuff oh, and making beer!

Hi~ Finally stopped lurking and actually registered (thank you, johloh!!).

I go by my nickname, Rosey, because my full first name is apparently difficult to pronounce and spell~ Rosey is also difficult to spell for some reason (I suppose people are too used to Rosie!). I'm 28 and from an extremely rural area in Missouri, USA. Localest LNS is about 1-2 hours away. I've only been cross-stitching since the summer of 2009 after teaching myself the craft from little kits picked up in thrift stores. I've been a casual girl gamer since NES days; I have horrible hand-eye coordination so I stick to RPGs and some RTS (I'd like FPS if I could, you know, hit the right things XD).

My most recent (video game) craft accomplishment is the FFVIII logo on hardanger fabric (pics here on my craft blog). My plan is to do all of the main FF logos (1-14, plus X-2 and XIII-2) so I'll definitely be stitching for the rest of my life~ :moog

Afternoon everyone.

Been a lurker for awhile after following a link from Craftster. So hai I'm Manea, 24 living in the East Midlands england. Been cross stitching since I was little when my Mum taught me but only picked it up again recently when I discovered how to make my own patterns (or better yet find fantasitc ones on line) that aren't your standard kittens in baskets, if you understand me >_<

My most recent pieces have been a Magicka sprite image for my best friend and a portal cube which was my first experiement with disolvable canvas. The main reason I've finally signed up is I have pinched a fantastic American Mcgees Cheshire Cat chart and once it's done would like to thank the creator properly :3 (spinuntilyoufall you rock <3)

Oh and as for the name, Manea was my first WoW character, a forsaken mage and Manea is the Etruscan goddess of the dead and the mother of ghosts ^_^

Oooooooooo....... you got a cool name!! I always spent FOREVER trying to name toons. Although I was in the last round of the Star Wars beta, and I got the name Juliet, which was pretty cool. (Although I doubt I'll be able to pull that off outside of beta.)

Hello everybody!

I'm Sheetaaa, living in France and currently looking at that cute 1-UP Smiley at the corner of my screen! :1up

I've always tried to find some new things to do, to create, and to learn new techniques. But I had never seen that cross stitching could be geek or whatever, even though I love stitching great pictures and everything... Now I've found what I was looking for! :D I'm currently stitching this:

But when I found this forum, I quickly did this:

It's a bit ugly but whatever.

The reason I've decided to register is that I wanted to thank everyone that posts a pattern I like. And also to request a special pattern of the series Dexter: I've found someone on Etsy that sold it... but sold! She doesn't sell it anymore, so I will ask for it! :D

Anyway, I hope this forum will live forever!
