Re: SpriteStitch table at a retro game con
I'm tempted but I can't commit to sending anything right now. I do wish I lived closer so I could attend in person *sigh*.

Re: SpriteStitch table at a retro game con
Thanks, johloh!
I thought I'd bump this thread just to see if any others are interested in sending me anything to sell for them at this convention. I've just started building up my stock; here's what I've made recently.
Moar purses! This time I used 14 ct waste canvas and 2 strands of thread, so it was MUCH easier on my fingers. I actually made both of these in the same day. This latchhook kit was on sale for $4, so I got it but neglected the pattern it included. I also framed it in a shadow box frame, because making a wall hanging or rug out of it (the recommended uses) seemed like a really good way to destroy it/get it dirty. And finally, a framed Bejeweled stitch, expanded from my Sampler band pattern. I used some silver blending filament in the white gems, which you can't really see in the pic but they are sparkly

I love the idea of subverting kits. Ironically, it's rather piratical.

I've always thought that's what they are for.RMDC wrote:I love the idea of subverting kits. Ironically, it's rather piratical.

Oh, you....RMDC wrote:it's rather piratical.
funkymonkey, I live about 3 to 4 hours from Austin, depending on traffic. (You know what I'm talking about!)
I would love to come, and I'll talk to my husband about it. The main thing that would make is difficult for me is that I have two little kids. Even if I can't come, I'll try to get some things together to sell. Thank you for the offer.

EDIT: Oh, and do you mind if I post your repurposed Latch hook kit and Bejeweled piece on the main blog?

Re: SpriteStitch table at a retro game con
I'd love to see pictures of the table at the event, and of the event itself, as I'm too far away to attend it.
Also, It's probably too late, but if your willing to sell some cross stitch patterns, I can email you some, and we can work something out, if your interested. You can see my Etsy shop at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/KDStitching. If you'd like to pick out what you'd like to sell. Let me know.
