Nightmare Before Christmas "Mission Impossible"

Hello everybody,
I just got PCStitch but apparently either I'm really bad at using it, or the images I selected are not the right ones. That's the story: I got a really cute bookmark that is 31 stitches wide by 122 stitches high on 18c black Aida. Given the elongated shape, I figured that either Jack or Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas would be the right subject to stitch on it. I found a couple of images on the internet and I happily tried to convert them with PCStitch, but the results were terrible: the patterns were just a blur of pixels and didn't make any sense. Can anybody help with this, or at least tell me if these images can be used at all?
Thanks a lot!

You'll find these will be much bigger when put through pc stitch or any other pattern maker. You won't be able to get the size you want with these images unfortunately. Remember that each pixel is a stitch. This will be really big. Maybe 15 inches (at a guess) tall depending on the aida you use. Sorry. Maybe you should start with some simple images on pcstitch first to get your bearing with it. Old school games are a good start. Examples are Mario and luigi or even peach from the NES.

OMG, I can't believe this!!!! These patterns are beautiful AND they perfectly fit my bookmark! I can't wait to finish my current project and start one of these! I may actually even buy another one of the same bookmarks to have the matching pair. Thanks Servo, you are my new hero!

During a stint of insomnia last night I stitched Jack and started on Sally before I finally was tired enough to sleep. Then completed her today. Thanks for the pattern. I also turned them into bookmarks which will be getting donated to a charity once I had enough done up.
