Sprite Stitch Board!

Hi everyone !

I'm thinking of stitching a huge black and white image of my own favorite game ever: Cosmic Osmo. This is the image that I've picked (it's the Cosmic Osmo base planet):

As you see, it's already in pixels, so I won't be needing a program to transform it (I don't have such a program anyway).

However, I'm confused as to how wide it'll be. I don't want to come short of aida ! Is there anyone out there who could use his/her program to tell me how much crosses I'm looking at ? Can programs do that ? I'm interested in the width and length. I choose my aida or linen depending on the number of stitches.

If it's not possible, don't worry, I have another weird idea to render this using blackwork... that'll be fun too !

I don't have any of the programs but I use this site : http://crosstitch.com/calc.html to figure out if my project will fit or not. If you put in however many pixels the image is it'll spit out how big the finished product will be.

I put in the 1440x900 image and on 22 count it would end up being 65.5 x 41 inches to give you an idea of how big it would be. Hope that helps.

The problem is, I can't just count pixels, because the image has so much more pixels that "squares". I mean, if you look at the picture, it already has a squares used to create the picture. I'd like to use a single stitch for each of these squares, and not 4 or 16.

I guess I'll go ith my blackwork idea, or simply print and count...
