Discworld patterns

Post by SephreniaMusic »

Hi.

I'm new here and I'm so amazed at the patterns you can do. I'll try and work on some minor in KG-Chart myself but would love some help with a few bigger projects.

I was totally blown away by Servatrons pattern of Discworld Death and found some pictures I would love to have as patterns. I'll post a few simply because I can't choose so if someone want's to do one or more I'd be grateful, take your pick. Servatron said I should say how big I wanted it and how many colors but I don't know since I've never made a pattern myself. I do prefer it to be larger then to loose the finer details so for example 50 cm x 70 cm = 19,6 inches x 27,5 inches might be a bit big but It's doable. I also rather work with many colors so it's not to flat, if that makes sense.

This one is just so great. Well they all are ;) That's why I can't choose.

Both me and my sister love Tiffany so I might do this one for us.

One of A'tuins flippers is "cut" but I can't find a picture that includes it so maybe that's the original picture. Don't know but it would still be a beautiful x-stitch. Great A'tuin is so majestic.

I know. A'tuin looks so regal and dignified. It will be a big project but even if I don't start it right away since I have projects to finish I will stitch that one sooner or later. I found it doing a Google image search.

The Great A'tuin is so awesome that I had to give this a try. Fortunately, I found this on Deviantart: http://browse.deviantart.com/digitalart ... d#/d2pkv77

Here's a preview of the finished product:

And a .pdf of the chart (I designed it to be stitched on black aida cloth). It should be just under 13" x 13" on 14-count aida, but of course could be smaller if you used 18 or 22 count.

Have fun!

That's amazing Servotron!!! I wasn't sure it would be possible to get all the different colors from the original in the pattern. Now I got another big project to dream about  I've wanted to do a Discworld pattern for so long and now I have three to choose from and am trying to do a smaller pattern myself.

You guys rock :clapping:

Hi there! I tried my hand at converting the Great A'Tuin picture into a pattern, because it's so incredible I had to. I've not tried stitching this one up (yet), but hopefully someone will give it a go!

It'll be about 25" by 20" on 14ct aida, so pretty big, but I wanted to keep the details. It also uses 40 colours, which I think my program selected from the DMC range. I hope it works out!
