My Neighbour Totoro

Post by sonn »

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could convert any Totoro pictures for me. Am looking at doing them at a minimum size of 16" x 20" but preferably a bit larger. I have only ever done kits before so this would be my first "from scratch" project.

Thanks in advance!!

I posted this in another thread but I'll post it here for you too. Is that along the lines of what you were looking for?

hmmm maybe its my pc but I cant seem to see the images that are linked in your post. I have had a look through the site listed but cant seem to find the pattern you have mentioned. I will have a better look later when I have time to scroll through all of the posts on there - not sure if they are linked through one of the headings on the side (wasnt able to find them on a quick look). Maybe put it all down to having a very very blonde day.

I've switched them to pdfs not jpegs, maybe that will help. Let me know, I'm willing to switch them around to whatever you need. :D

Thanks! That worked - could view those :) They arent quite what I was looking for - looking more for a scenery type image. I have looked for high quality gifs and having no luck with them. Found the following jpg that is pretty large

It looks like it would be quite difficult to create it into a pattern that will still reflect the image without losing too much clarity but any help is much appreciated!

The problem with scenery pics is the size it will produce....it is because of all the detail.
It can be done but you would then have a cross stitch that is 300 x300 stitches plus...and over 100 colours!!
It will take over a year to stitch......

Thats true - 300 x 300 would be a little big! The one I just completed was a kit that was 210 x 170 and that seemed about the perfect size. I might see if I can adjust the image in photoshop and reduce some of the artifacts and clean up the image a little.
