JUNE Challenge - Three Colours

OK let's get this started as we're already into the first week of the month.

I'd like for you to make something - and by that I mean anything - using only three colours. When I say three colours, I mean three thread colours, three bead colours, etc. It can be an image that is already three colours, or maybe a tri-coloured design inspired by something! (How many Triforces will there be, I wonder? :D)

There will be a new badge this month - the BMH Stamp of Approval! I've given my approval to many a fine project, so I decided to turn it into a fun badge. Whoever earns it gets to keep it for the duration of the following challenge, then it will move on to the next worthy bearer. I won't tell you how to get it, but I always look out for originality, cleverness and a bit of humour too. ;)
And of course there will be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place badges for the top entries.

The challenge will end on June 30th. You can submit as many entries as you like, using any medium. Have fun! :wiz

This is perfect for a project I'm working on right now. Bring it on June!

Do background colors count? i.e. the project I'm doing it the main design is three colors and then I decided to fill in the background because I heard that is best for coasters (what I had planned to finish them with, although I'm not sure if I am going to continue in that vein or do something else with them). Anyway, I need to know if I can use the one I'm almost done with the background with or if I need to leave it out and post the pics of the others before I do the background color or not. LOL!

Oh my gosh this is a great one :D Also, question, does colored Aida count as one of our three colors?

Can it be three colors through various materials? Say two colors thread, one bead?

Oh, what a bummer!
On my current project I'm using only two colours, maybe I'll squeeze a third to enter this challenge :)

I'm very excited to see what everyone comes up with. I have a few ideas...

I got the idea last night after I read the description and had to knock it out. I went with yellow red and blue for a Dr. Mario play on the Matrix.

No, your background is separate from the foreground design. Coloured aida is fine. If you're stitching the bg, I would ask that you keep it all one colour if possible! :)

Does verigated floss count as 1 colour? or 2 or does it depend on the floss? Or is it not allowed at all?

Hmm, I like your thinking, so it counts as one colour. ;)
