Re: 2013 Charity Quilt Creating
Sorry I've been out of town and couldn't reply earlier. Swapping my mario kart square put my two (the other being duck hunt) in the same quilt, coincidently touching each other.

I was afraid that would happen. Who has the portal square 6th row down, first square? Would that be ok moving to the the other quilt?

The Portal 2 square was done by shrinkingviolet and is the only one she's done, so can be moved to the other quilt. It could pair up with the Portal 1 cake.tnitnetny wrote:I was afraid that would happen. Who has the portal square 6th row down, first square? Would that be ok moving to the the other quilt?

Is it ok to have both the portal squares on one quilt?
(That square is shrinkingviolet's. Mine is the cake.)

Hmmm. Good point. Ok, how about the Double Dragon square 5th row down, last square? I am trying to remember the people that only did one square and use that one.

I only did one square (Minecraft cow) so if you need to move it feel free =)
I am not a huge fan of the large aspect ratio for the first quilt, however I can see why you did it that way, for symetry and all (I do like me some symetry). It just seems like a really weird size that wouldn't be useful for much other than hanging on a wall. To me a 4x5 layout would look a lot nicer, but then you only have room for 1 sprite-stitch square. Would this really be a bad thing? What does everyone else think?

I have to have at least 2 squares free. We have to include the sprite stitch square and the child's play square. This is the only layout that would work without leaving squares out.

Would it be possible to combine the spritestitch and childs play logos in one square?

No, I tried that the first year and it didn't look good at all.
The layout will turn out ok once you add the sashing and borders, trust me. I am just concerned with the squares at the moment. That quilt will actually be a little larger and may be used for sleeping.
