So many awesome entries! As for Charizard, it's a fire-breathing lizard; if that's not a dragon, I don't know what is!

TigerLily, are those dragons your own design or did you find a pattern somewhere? I'd happily part with money for a copy of those patterns!

Wow, some really cool stuff in here so far!

Ally- I was literally in the process of designing my own pattern when I stumbled upon this:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library ... ones-style
I figured, why invent the wheel? I believe there's also a smaller version if you look through their pattern store.

I actually ran out of yarn and had to modify the pattern a little, unfortunately. I'm planning on making at least one more batch at some stage and just being better prepared the next time around. :)

My dragon didn't turn out quite the way I expected...but he's pretty cute!
My mom and I both think that his face looks like Ludo from Labyrinth, with a grin out of "Nightmare Before Christmas" :P

I'm posting these pics from my phone...I don't know if they will be too big. If they are, let me know and I will resize and reload them during my lunch break on Monday.

And it looks like they are sidewise...oops!

Now that I have finished the piece for my hubby I can get back to doing things for fun. :) I'm starting a small project that I found and we'll see how it goes. :)

So I may be able to enter this challenge after all! I have rearranged my commission list and will be making a new quilt with a dragon in it. It is just a matter of finishing before May ends.

Thanks!!!

Originally, I was going to donate him to Purple Stitch Project (http://purplestitchproject.org/), but there's a few too many spots where his stuffing is trying to show...don't want kids to get something with stuffing showing! So, he's going to stay on my table for a while and then move to a bookcase. It's been a while since I've designed something, let alone made something just for myself, so it's a nice treat for me!

In addition to the smaug piece I've already submitted I made some more papercutting dragonpieces....
And the pictures are huge, but i can't make them smaller on the ipad...(edit: fixed sizing issue)

I love those paper silhouettes, especially the knight one!

I really hope I have time to finish mine... I have two entries in progress (I work at one at my house and another at my boyfriend's) which I should have had plenty of time for, but work is getting crazy so now I'm worried I won't make it. Oh well, we shall see - even if I don't finish in time for the challenge I still love both ideas so I'll be happy to have them around the place :)
