Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Hello All, thought I'd show a WIP of my FFXIII patch -
Credit to BMH for the pattern.
I've been progressing kind of slowly with this one, as stitching in little bits all over takes me a lot longer to stitch than stitching a colour in a solid block (this is also on top of work and other things). So there's now a slim chance I could finish my KH patch as well, but I can't guarantee anything. If we do another quilt next year, I could always leave my KH patch for then.

That is an EXCELLENT point Izzy. If you don't finish your squares, save them for next year!
Just as a reminder, I would prefer to get all squares in my hands before August 1. If you can't get them to me by then I absolutely MUST have them in my hands by September 1. If I do not have your square in my hands by September 1, it will not be a part of this years quilt. There will be no extensions for any reason.
So far, I have 3 squares and can't wait to see the rest!

Looks great so far Izzy!
I am about to start my 2nd square, would have done it before but the swap and a chest infection I've had since May's really slowed me down a lot. I don't think I'll be able to do more than that, because I have so much to do and I am still sick.
But I promise you tnitnetny you will have my squares before Sep 1st!

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Well I haven't posted an update of my Spyro patch in a while so here it is. I'm nearly halfway through it and it is going fast because it does have huge blocks of color.
And oh the colors. I love them .
We've had a heat wave here that was making my hands (and everything else) sweat so I folded the fabric around the edges and basted it so that only the back gets dirty. I'll be washing it for sure before I send it.
The source image had more orange but PCStitch mapped out a golden-yellow instead and I actualy like it better - too much orange can be a really bad thing. The Ghost Trick patch came out great but the colors in this one are gorgeous. I may not make the August 1st deadline but I will try to have it done very close to that!

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Camilla, I got your My Little Pony square today and it looks great!
I am soooo happy with the four squares I got so far. 1 from Nicole, 2 from Servotron, and now the My Pretty Pony square. I forgot to mention that Servotrons squares are so amazing with the colors he picked. The pictures don't do them justice.
Don't worry about only 2 squares Blackmageheart, we have a lot more people that are contributing this year, so we will have enough.

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
I am so close to being done with my second square! I've been working on it like crazy since the swap ended. lol BMH made up the pattern for me, and it looks pretty great IMO. I have one color left, but I'm not sure I like it. The pattern says to use 938, but I'm afraid it might look too dark. (The maroonish color in the upper right is DMC 815, the little clouds in the middle/left are DMC 300, and the upper left cloud thing is black.) Do you guys think it will look okay with 938 or is there a better color for that corner? I'd appreciate any input!
I'm hoping to be able to finish my Bubble Bobble square before I go back to work (or before the deadline at least!), but my Star Wars square might end up in next year's quilt instead. I'll see how much time I have left over at that point...

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
@tnitnetny: thanks! I am glad there's been more people this year. And I helped out with a few of the patterns, so it's all good.
@katdun: looks great! I'd say 938 *should* be ok. If it was something like 3371 then that might be too dark. But remember thread looks slightly lighter when you divide the strands so it's probably going to be fine
If you wanted to go with something ever-so-slightly lighter anyway, try 898 or 839. Lighter than that would be 801 but I think the tone would be kinda off. That's my input!
@Stardrifter: AWESOME
@kuja.girl: Spyro patch is looking very nice
