Story of my life, for realz. I remember how shocked I was the first time I realized I'd finished a project without having to undo at least an hour's worth of work or modifying the pattern partway through to account for an earlier miscount.SheWhoRoars wrote:Do you guys ever have just random mistakes? An area of my square is one stitch too thin, and I can't find where I messed up. I've had to at least triple checked everything at this point, and it all matches my pattern, except it doesn't. And it is VERY unpleasant

Re: Stitching for Charity 2014
So i just wanted to confirm that so long as the sqaures are 6x6 then they will be fine? do to issues i've had to restart mine and measuring out my new fabric has a 6x6 square at 97x100 (i don't know how i recounted like 5 times) and another square is coming in at being 99x98 stitches.tnitnetny wrote: The area in which you stitch is 5 3/4 by 6 right? Not the whole piece? If it is off by that much could you add one more row to whatever is short the 1/4 inch? It should be as close to 6x6 as possible. I would rather it be 6x6 and have an extra row of stitches than it follow the stitches and have some aida show by the border.
would you prefer i just scrap this fabric and get new or would it be okay so long as the finished size is 6x6.
i dunno what kind of crazy 16count fabric i got honestly

Re: Stitching for Charity 2014
The 6x6 is the most important factor. You can add or drop stitches as needed to reach this. It is up to you if you want to start over or use what you have.
