If BMH or Tnitnetny say it's ok, I will put the clouds back on. For now thought, they have been removed.

I've actually been considering joining in on this. While at my very small local craft shop picking up some extra floss I needed to finish up my current portrait project I also took a look at their aida, hmm, not much selection here, all 14ct only in white. Didn't think they'd have anything else, but figured since I was there, take a quick look anyway. Perhaps if everything gets squared away with life stuff and have enough money later I'll have to order me a sheet of 16ct white and find me something to stitch that would be quilt worthy. And if not this time, maybe next year, but I'd certainly like to do something nice like this at some point.

* Must be a scene from a video game, no original creations or just logos. It can be an opening or closing shot, the scene doesn't have to be within the game.

* You can stitch a single character as long as it fills most of the square and the specific game can easily be identified. For example a Kirby would not be accepted, although this Kirby would: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a6/tnitnetny/kirby.jpg. It is obviously from Return to Kirby's Dreamland.
I should think that, according to these rules, you can't. But I'm not in charge or even participating, so who am I to say much of anything? :/
I'm sorry I missed it the first time guys. I didn't see that she had changed the square. That rule is aimed at people that want to take different elements or different characters from parts of a game and combine them into one square. We don't want that. We want an actual screen shot, title screen, or even a character portrait (like some of the amazing ones like Halo in the past). The clouds in the background are fine. I agree I think it makes it pop and look good. We all will make little adjustments and not have exact pixels per stitch. As long as it is true to form (no adding in a princess in the background) and makes it look better, I completely agree with the change.

Thank you Tnitnetny! I will be putting the clouds back on again and leaving them there this time :D

Ok so this is my first attempt at a quilt square and I have chosen to do a Rayman one =)
With Blackmageheart's help on the pattern - I'm shopping for floss today and hopefully will get started on my next day off!
Here is a pic of the pattern =)

Balls! At spotlight right now and all they have in 16ct is 36x45cm! (14.17"x17.71") it's a bee's **** too small! Anyone know where in Australia I can get some the right size?? I wanted to get started! PLUS this shop is missing about 4 colours that I need! They're in the middle of moving shop so I can forgive that but I'm still desperate for the aida!

I got mine at Lincraft
Although the store near me is very bad at having anything i need in stock, they did have 16 count aida sold in fat quarters
I just trimmed mine down a bit at the sides ^_^

Spotlight is the only decent craft store near me! As I live in country Victoria lol you'd think there'd be more!
I managed to find some at http://stitchingobsession.com.au/, so hopefully it'll arrive in time for my next day off on Wednesday! I really want to get started on this!
I'm stuck between projects right now while I wait for supplies to arrive from the U.S.
The range at some stores is so bad MidoriTenshi! I'm hoping once my local Spotlight moves it will have a bigger range and I'll be much happier!

Lindcraft close to me is way too unreliable... All scrapbooking now. They used to be so good =(

I am so glad where I have just moved it is a Spotlight near me <3

http://www.sewitall.com.au - They have a great range and only $3 postage. As for if it is the right dimensions I am not sure.. You could email and ask if more needed?

Also if you do smallish projects on linen often, their grip-n-stitch is awesome.
