Charity Quilt(s) 2013

I have admired the work you all have done on these quilts in previous years. I am excited to participate this year. Just signed up for two squares.... now to decide what scenes to use for the patterns......

I feel I must praise you for choosing Mystic Quest. Would have done something from that myself if I'd thought about it!

Also, should I use 2 strands or 3 strands when stitching? I typically use 3, but I want to do what everyone else is doing

Well I got a bit of a head start by starting my leftover Shadow of the Colossus square from last year's sign up this year. If I finish it within a good amount of time I may consider signing up for a second square, lol.

This is going along at a great pace because page one (which is complete) was the hardest page, requiring the most color changes because of this Colossus' head-moss-stuff. The rest of the pages are mostly grey and black. So this one should sail right along... once I start work on it again, lol.

I'd like to take this opportunity to once again thank Servotron for making this pattern for me. I couldn't have done it without you =)

Is this too specific? Can I use that as my image for my square or I should try picking something more "screenshot from the game"?

Gah! At work right now, and I can't access the spreadsheet to sign up for a square. I hope nobody has picked the games I want to do.

This is the image I'll be working from, although I'm thinking about editing it to include more colours, though I love the retro look of the Red/Blue games. And yes, it's been shrunk down to 96x96!

Sorry for all the pics and links, but if I don't post it here, I'll have to find them again when I get home, so this is just easier. I'll muddle my way through making the patterns and then beg BMH to help me when I fail. Heh.

I'm In again! I've got like 8 squares planned out, and one already started. I have all the thread and cloth for all 8 so we'll see how far I get. I am going to go sign up for my first 2 now!

That is fine, I've done a Phantasy Star cutscene image before and they work really well as squares. But goddammit! I was gonna do Phantasy Star IV as I still have a pattern from last year!

Oh well...guess there's always that Phantasy Star II pattern I have, too

and then beg BMH to help me when I fail. Heh.
