So quick question that I've been thinking about for awhile. Do people normally sign their squares, or not? Just curious as to what's happened in the past.

No, we just leave them unsigned, as we provide the certificate(s) with the name and username of the square maker, with the name of the game its from.

Me too! I had trouble choosing an image but I think I have it sorted now :D

As BMH said, don't sign them because the certificate will give information about you. You won't be able to see the back (if signed there) because it will be quilted, if you sign the front then it won't be uniform with the rest of the squares and almost defeat the purpose of having them the same format.

This is from 80's game "Jajamaru no Daibouken". I got 16ct white aida and just started stitching!
That will make such a cool looking cross stitch, and look great as part of a quilt! Can't wait to see the finished product!
Thanks, monkeypeaches. The game is not common and I was a bit hesitate to select it. But I hope a quilt would be rich in diversity with it.

I was wondering if this year we could add our locations to the certificate? Not super specific, of course, but country or state maybe. I think it'd be fun for the person that buys it to see where all the squares came from. :nod

That's quite a nice idea, katdun. I'm sure we could make room for that, or add a little flag, or something!

I agree. I love the idea of a flag from the country where the stitcher is from! Cool idea!! Or even just a simple country, or state would be fine. I think it would be neat to show that we are all over the world and coming together for this project.

I came up with a few options for my quilt squares and thought I would post for a vote :)

(Even though the pictures sizes are not all the same.... I have patterns made for all that are 96x96 pixels. )

Here are the options for the Mystic Quest square:

Here are the options for the Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening square:

I think so, Brain, but can the gummi worms really live in peace with the marshmallow chicks?
I think so, Brain, but if they called them "sad meals" nobody would buy them.
