I can't believe people are done already! Well I hit a snag with my 32 ct, so I am starting over. It just wasn't looking very clean and was taking forever! So I revamped my pattern and have started over. It is going faster already, and I have an idea for a second gift. So don't worry swappee, your gift will be awesome!

Can't believe that someone has sent them out already! I think Carand88 should get a special badge for being first to send a swap on more than one occasion. :nod
I now know exactly what I am doing, and hopefully they should all go together really nicely. I will be able to put more time to it soon though because I have an exam on the 16th October for my degree and after that I can spend my children free time(My son just started nursery, and my daughter is at school so I now have 15 hours a week on my own and it is bizarre)

I think the problem with this is that it would encourage people to rush their gifts in the future, there is no point being the fastest if you make something simple and unimpressive (not trying to say that what Carand88 made was simple, I am sure it is awesome :nod ). Going fast doesn't work for everyone and that is ok. I am just looking forward to my participation badge

I finished the important part of my project today, woooo! now I just need to do some finishing touches and maybe another small thing, not sure yet.

I am so curious who has me and as soon as I find out, I'm re-reading this whole thread to see what they said about my gift!

I'm doing one big gift which has two main construction parts. I am just about finished with part 1, so that's exciting. I need to get it done and mailed before Oct 12 when I go to Hawaii for a week!

The main part of my swap gift definitely wins the personal award of longest time spent working on the pattern itself. I'm probably 1/3 done with the stitching but the pattern's still a work in progress!! :sigh:

I'm done with my gift!! I didn't think I'd finish it so quickly, but my kid staying up so late last night gave me plenty of time to work on it. I promised a few people I would show it to them in person when I finished, so hopefully I'll get it in the mail next week!
