Ok, I got the cloth for my daughter and my pieces for this and measured it out. It looks like 6" is 95 stitches wide and 96 high. It's acceptable to use this cloth right? Want to make sure it's ok before we get started. :D I assume it is but I want to make doubly sure. :D

Your stitched area needs to be 96x96. That is what you measure and see how close to 6" it comes. That piece will definitely be ok, just make sure you don't leave off a row and stich 96x96.

Yep. I'm not sure why I'm off one stitch one way and not the other. I basically just used a cloth measuring tape and started at the one inch line and measured out to the seven inch line (to make sure the measurement is exact cause you never know if you use the end of the tape lol) and marked the holes on each end with a pen. My pattern is 96 x96 so I shouldn't be leaving off a row or anything.

FINALLY located all the necessary colors for my squares after visiting JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby (x2) and Michael's (x3) over the past week or so. Going to get my kits put together and then the stitching shall begin!

It's just the way the fabric is made. That's why there are so many different measurements. Usually you'll find that it is either ok in one direction and slightly off in the other, or slightly off in one direction and even more in the other (if that makes sense!)
Shouldn't really be so in the modern world, but what can ya do? :D

Does anyone else need a pattern making?
And is there anyone who's already requested one waiting for me to get back to them? (My PM inbox has gone a bit nutty recently.)

If not, and if not, then I can get to making my Skyrim pattern ^^
