I agree also, I would feel really bad if I only sent a few trinkets and got a blanket back in return.

I actually got my item in the size restriction guidelines this year! (Unlike 2 years ago, when mine was like 4x as big as it was supposed to be due to me not stitching well on higher counts of aida). I spent the whole first day of the swap on my pattern and now I just need to double check colors before I start. Hopefully I'll find some time this weekend to get it done, as long as I stop procrastinating today and actually get some schoolwork done! I'm really excited because I showed the pattern to my boyfriend, who loves one of the games that my swappee listed, and he thought it was awesome, so I'm hoping that my swappee will feel the same when they get it!

Everyone has really good points, and I do think it is great that there is some sort of restriction, makes it much more aceivable. Guess I just wanted to hear some other peoples opinion's on the matter. Didn't mean to offend anyone, or imply BMH didn't put due thought into it. I know I will be able to come up with something great, and can't wait to see what everyone else makes!

No topic is worth pursuing if it can't withstand a little debate! :)

I might add a couple of years ago I went over the size restriction, I just made my item collapsible so that when in pieces it fit perfectly!
As I've said before, I don't really mind if it does go over a little bit, its all for fun!

I'm thinking mine may end up being 2' x 3'....

Just kidding. I'm actually still in the "what they heck am I actually going to make" phase!

My first swap gift is ready to be finished (all material are align near the sewing machine). My swapie is going to be a guinea pig (sorry for that :sorry: ) and if i enjoy doing it maybe i'll do more for christmas presents
The other gift, i've changed ideas so much but finally, after visiting a local store today, something popped in my head
About the size restriction, i didn't recognize those measures because i only know SI units. So if my gift gets bigger than the limit given, i have an excuse :P :tease:

Phase one of my little swap done... trying something new, so fingers crossed that after all that stitching, phase 2 doesn't kill phase one :) If it works out, then SCORE! I've got Christmas and birthday presents to make rather than torture myself shopping for impossible parents and friends :)
