Yep, she went nuts alright. Wants one of her own, plus just about every other Sonic character she could name (which was a lot -_- )SofaraStarfyre wrote:If she'd like to have a go at making a stitch of it for your new sonic room, I'd be happy to share the image I used. The colors KG chart pics are WAY off and I altered it heavily and it still wasn't quite right. The face I stitched looks much more shadowed than the true image I made the stitch from.

Here's the image I used. It's cropped from a Sonic wallpaper of Amy Rose I found by searching Google for Sonic Characters. There were lots of others including Sonic and Knuckles.blackmageheart wrote:Yep, she went nuts alright. Even though it's only been 4 days since I finished Amy Rose and started my second square, I've made a fair bit of progress. It has 8 total colors and 4 are already finished and a 5th is very close to done. Here is my progress from 4/7 until today just a few minutes ago...

That's an excellent looking gannon. Doing all the small color variations in the tiles really payed off. Looks great.

All squares are looking good! well done to all even having a go at this.

I think we can all say to each other the following;
Thank you sooooo much for taking part it means such a lot! You are all incredible!!!

Better late then never, and I'm certainly one of those! But its definitely worth waiting for! And yours was indeed well worth waiting for because it looks amazing!Awenmir wrote:I know this was meant to be done a long time ago (the quilt before last or even earlier maybe!) but I never managed to get finished on time and I've always felt bad about it.

Wow! Everyone's squares are looking so great!
So, our insurance just approved getting started on repairing our house, so it looks like we won't be getting back into it until JUNE.
Since I don't want to put off starting this project anymore than I already have I'm gonna have to order all my supplies. Since I don't have access to my floss I have no way of checking how accurate the color choices KG chart made are, could I trouble one of you to double check it for me? I'm attaching the pattern file to this post.
Thanks in advance for any help!

You know...I love your Kirby's Dream Land 3 square and I'd love to give it a go. I just haven't had enough on my plate! LOL Looks like I may be joining up afterall...TheMainlander wrote:Sigh. Life has a way of keeping you busy sometimes, eh?
It's gonna be a struggle for me to do two squares this year for a myriad of reasons, so I made the hard choice early to remove one of my squares from the spreadsheet. I couldn't bear to give up on my ST:TNG square (Worf! FTW) so Kirby's Dream Land 3 is up for grabs if that interests anybody.
In fact, I'm more than willing to give the pattern to anyone who may want to do it in my stead. Just PM me if it at all interests you.
Keep up all the good work on those great squares already showing up finished on this thread! Looking good as always!

I am no expert on color choices, but from what I can tell looking between the original picture an the pattern, that KG chart has really made a mess of the colors. It's putting dark navy/almost black in places where it doesn't belong like in Princess Leia's hair, the grey areas where it's not dark at all, and other colors are also wrong too.. Maybe someone with another program can give it a go to see if it makes any difference.
