It's just the outline so far but I reckon you can just about pick out who's who :)
I need to get this finished by Christmas hence 'race against time'! I'll try and do an update every day or at least every other.
I hope people will enjoy seeing how it's coming along. Now to start the filling in!

Hi,

I'm currently stitching this pattern:

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5224&p=41264&hilit= ... ers#p41264

I made it ages ago and he found that most of the colours seem to be off and weirdly bright. For the last couple of hours I've been trying to match the proper colours with the pattern but I seem to be failing miserably.

Can anyone help? Either with the colours or directing me to a pattern that has the correct colours for these sprites?

Thanks alot

Do you have the original image for comparison? It would be extremely helpful! :D

I have looked at the pattern but I can't check the colours properly because I'm on my netbook and it's 1) like looking through a letterbox and 2) the screen isn't set up like my PC is for colour matching XD
My PC is on the floor in pieces right now but I'll be able to check your colours this afternoon if nobody else does it first!

Sorry it took longer than I thought, had to go out twice and then put my PC back together while cooking dinner! :D
Anyway...seems like limiting the colours in the pattern to 20 is why it is giving you trouble. KG wanted 65 when I tried importing your image, but made some horrible colour choices so I have tried it in PCStitch and it seems to be a lot better from what I can tell :)

Here's what it gave me:

The only thing is that it does have quite a lot of colours (120+), but some of those could probably be substituted for others in the pattern to reduce them a bit. If you'd like me to do that I can give it a go.
If you like the look of it how it is now and colours are no object, here are the files for it:

One other thing! Will you be posting progress pics in this thread or is it just a help thing? :D

That's brilliant, I'm so grateful! Is there any chance you could have a look at reducing the colours? I don't want to be a pain, there are just so many colours!

I'll be happy to post pics :D

I apologise for the awful quality of the first picture, they'll probably all be like that but I promise I'll find my camera for my completed picture.

Nice!

Sorry I haven't got around to reducing the colours yet, been a bit mad at home. I'll do it today if you still want me to! :)
