Final Fantasy Map Pillow
I made a pillow with the original NES Final Fantasy world map. It's about 10 inches square, on light blue aida which I crayon tinted a tiny bit. Outlined in blue backstitch. The backing is a scrap piece of blue Scalamandre fabric. Ritzy!
Up close in the Onrac vicinity.
I posted the pattern over on the pattern forum.

Wow. That's amazing. Is it a one-time thing, or are you planning on doing more pillow maps?

Oh yeah I didn't mention I crossed the stitches in different directions. The gray is also 2 strands and the other colors are 1 strand.

Is there a specific term for this technique? It's interesting.blackmageheart wrote:I'm a fan of this technique, I like the texture it givesStitchmond wrote:Oh yeah I didn't mention I crossed the stitches in different directions.

I've wanted to do the map from the original Castlevania, the maps from Ghosts 'n Goblins, Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, maybe from Advance Wars, and all the Earthbound maps.Jack Lias wrote:Wow. That's amazing. Is it a one-time thing, or are you planning on doing more pillow maps?
